I interviewed Katie Fleming, a 20-year-old Danville woman who was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at age one, as she waited for a double lung transplant. One week later, Fleming received her life-saving transplant and I published an update. I wrote these stories during my work as the editor for Danville Patch.
