About

I am a San Francisco-based multimedia journalist, traveler, writer and storyteller. I’ve reported from Thailand, Burma and the San Francisco Bay Area, covering censored artists, BART neighborhoods, earthquake recovery, go-kart racing and more.

My work has been published with Human Rights Watch, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, Santa Cruz Sentinel, Diablo magazine, California Watch and News21, a new media incubator funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. In Feb. 2010, I launched Danville Patch (the first Patch site in Northern California) and served as site editor for nearly two years. I currently work for the American Red Cross where I create better social media strategies, foster relationships with the media and manage internal and external communications.
