Hire and manage a team of freelance reporters, photographers and videographers, including scheduling, assignments and payments. Manage and organize a monthly freelance budget and daily editorial calendar. Edit and approve all stories on the site, update the site several times a day, seven days a week, and maintain Facebook and Twitter pages for the site, posting several times a day. Report breaking news, features, and daily news, shoot and edit photos and video.

Media News Group: Reported and produced a multimedia story of downtown Santa Cruz’s recovery from the Loma Prieta Earthquake for the 20-year anniversary coverage of the disaster on October 17, 2009.
California Watch: Produced an interactive map showing H1N1 cases in California for the December 2009 launch of the organization’s new Drupal Web site. I also entered content for and tested the pre-launch site.

Carnegie-Knight Initiative on the Future of Journalism Education | News21 Fellow

Paid fellow for News21.com, a highly selective national project including students from ten graduate journalism programs. Designed all branding and interactive timelines for BARThood.news21.com, a Web site about San Francisco Bay Area communities and the Bay Area Rapid Transit system, created by a team of five. I also reported and co-produced two videos, two audio slideshows and two interactive timelines.
