Write articles and produce multimedia stories for national website. Assist with coverage of 24-hour media hotline and act as spokesperson during disasters and events with high media interest. Manage publication of, write articles for, and edit quarterly print newsletters and other printed materials. Manage social media interns and 12 social media accounts, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Flickr.

International, national and local media and nonprofit organizations | Multimedia reporter and producer

Design, report and produce interactive multimedia projects for nonprofit and media organizations.
Jewish Community Center of San Francisco: Designed an interactive project about family recipes.
California Watch: Produced an interactive map showing H1N1 cases in California and entered content for and tested the pre-launch website.
Media News Group: Reported and produced a multimedia story about downtown Santa Cruz’s recovery from the Loma Prieta earthquake, for the 20-year anniversary coverage of the disaster.
News 21: Designed all branding and interactive timelines for BARThood.news21.com, a site about San Francisco Bay Area communities and Bay Area Rapid Transit. I also reported and co-produced two videos and two audio slideshows for the project.

Human Rights Watch: Produced an audio slideshow about Cyclone Nargis in Burma.

Launched the first Patch.com site in Northern California and second in California, February 2010.
Reported, wrote and edited daily news and feature stories, shot and produced photos and videos. Managed and organized a monthly freelance budget and daily editorial calendar. Hired, supervised and managed a team of seven freelance reporters, photographers, bloggers and videographers, including scheduling story assignments, editing, and managing payments.
